Styrian Bootboys

Die Styrian Bootboys wurden 1999 in Eisenerz/Oesterreich gegruendet. Anfaenglich eine (Mex/Bass ,Spoony/Gitarre ,Zšchi/Schlagzeug) drei Mann Band, bekam man durch die Aufloesung von Oi!96 noch ein weiteres Mitglied (Markus/Schlagzeug) dazu . Im Herbst 99 wurde noch der Saenger (Chris / ersetzte Zoechi) gewechselt und so bestritt man am 08 01 00 beim 100% Anti-Politics Festival in Graz , mit Bands wie Stomper 98 ,Oi!96, Perfect Brew, Anti Maniacs und Sense of Justice das erste Konzert. Nach diesem Gig kamen zwei weitere Mitglieder hinzu (Philipp/Lead Gitarre und Martin als zweite Stimme) und es wurde der erste Song fuer einen Cock Sparrer Tributesampler aufgenommen. Es folgte ein Konzert mit der hollaendischen Streetcore Ð Band Discipline und die Aufnahme der Debutsingle. Nachdem fast in allen bemusterten fanzines gute bis sehr gute reviews der EP auftauchten und sich die Band auch wesentlich weiter entwickelt hat, kamen wir zu dem Schluss, das eine EP Single vielleicht nicht mehr so viele Leute erreicht als vor noch ein paar Jahren und das die Styrian Bootboys breit sind fuer einen Longplayer. Was man hier geboten bekommt ist aeu§erst abwechslungsreicher Streetrock, teilweise in English, teilweise in Deutsch gesungen. The Styrian Bootboys were formed in 1999 in Eisenerz/Austria.

First they were a 3 piece Band with (Mex/Bass, Spoony/Guitar, Zšchi/Drums).Markus from the already split-up Oi!96 joined the Band on drums. In autumn 99 Zšchi was replaced by Chris on vocals and so the Band played their first Gig on the 100% Anti-Politics festival in Graz with Stomper 98 ,Oi!96 ,Perfect Brew ,Anti Maniacs and Sense of Justice. After this gig two other members joined the band (Philipp/Lead Guitar and Martin on second vocals) and a track for a Cock Sparrer tribute was recorded. It followed a gig with the dutch streetcore-band Discipline and the Single was recorded. More gigs were played and after a while the first reviews of their 7Ó appeared in various fanzines and everyone seemed to like the band really. We found out that today you can not reach enough people with a 7Ó (but which is still the perfect start for a band) and so a full length CD was produced. The tracks show that the band did another big step forward plays now in a wide range of streetrock starting with late 70s like songs like ÒOi! my friendÓ to songs like ÒIdiotenÓ which sounds like typical german Oi! of the 90s.
