Foreign Legion were founded in 1982 split up in 1990 and reunited in 2000. Till now they have had several EPs in the 80s and a full length album which has long sold out. Back in 2000 labels from Germany, the USA and we here at DSS showed interest in the band. Their music was described in a fanzine as "melodic punkrock similar to the one of Cock SParrer". It s hard to compare someone to SParrer but they definitely go in that right direction. Their stage appearance is quite powerful and their frontman Marcus must loose a few pounds at every show. After sucessful shows in their country, Wales and London, they played 2 shows in Germany with The Templars and Stomper 98. Early 2001 sees them touring the states with the second band on this release Major Accident. Enough gigs have been announced including the 25 years of punk celebration at Morecambe in july. Major Accident are one of those bands who where into it from the begining and still are. Their music is punkrock with that special "Clockwork Orange" touch. Hard to describe for someone who never listened to their music. All those tracks here are new and amongst the best they have ever recorded. They love to play with that Clockwork image and built a name on that. With bands like the Adicts, the Violators and a handful more they represent that Clockwork sound. Watching their shows when they all dress up with bowler hats and white clothing is really fun and then add their powerful punkrock and you understand why the crowds everywhere go wild. 2001 they took a second chance to tour the states, first the east coast and a west coast tour has been announced too.
